  This is the worst attorney I have ever dealt with. He will abandon you and leave you hanging. He doesn't return any of your phones calls and doesn't fight for you. He rolls over and just lets you get beat to hell and back. When we asked for a refund he literally cursed us out, told us to go to hell, and then told us we were fired. If anyone has had the same issue please contact us via Facebook Messenger. We would like to start a class action suite against him. He has no business representing anyone.

  I had a free consultation with Michael Betts attorney at law back in Nov of 2015 that ended up costing me 75 dollars to go toward payment if I obtained his services. I was told I needed to pay my fee in full before action would start on my divorce BTW, a very simplified divorce and he charged me 1,100 Which in the divorce world is cheap but for me it was like a million dollars. I had to borrow the money and when I went to pay them Michael and his paralegal and myself ALL AGREED, NO paper work would be drawn up and no procedure would start with out him checking thru the courts to make sure my soon to be ex had not already started a procedure. In 1 week they called me in to sign the paper work to get it filed so he could be served. That was mid Nov 2015 on a Wednesday, the VERY NEXT DAY I was served at my place of employment divorce papers by a West Baton Rouge sheriff were my ex had already started procedures. Low and behold the date on it was TWO days before Michael Betts took MY money for a filing. Moral of the story, he did not check first and I didn't need to spend that money so I demanded it be refunded back to me. Just like ALL OF YOU he was never available when I called! Never available when I went by there! NEVER DID ANYONE RETURN MY CALL. Basically there wasn't anything I could do. 6 months was up, our court date was in June of 16 and the other attorney didn't have all the paperwork needed due to lack of professionalism in the Michael Betts office west Baton Rouge courts gave another date and it also failed. I couldn't get anyone on the phone or get past the receptionist the other attorney couldn't get a return call either. AND GUESS WHAT? that's right in August the office flooded and this is now the 19th day of October 2016 and Michael Betts is no where to be found and with no working phone number. I just had my 1 year anniversary still married v to this man on paper ALL BECAUSE OF the idiot thief Michael Betts. We married Oct 11 2015 I left Oct 31 2015 20 days later i left, due to mental and physical abuse, I never even moved any possesions of mine in to his home but was told I couldn't get an annulment. No divorce yet!!! Michael Betts is a joke for an attorney and should be disbarred!!!! IF it takes until my last breath I promise I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK AND HE WILL BE OUT OF LAW PRACTICE! My heart goes out to all of you who have been ripped off by this man! #mydivorcematters
